CRAPS TABLE PYRAMIDS/DIAMONDS

I have noticed on the dice list serve (free with the purchase of the hands-on training) several e-mails addressing the landing zone, the pyramids and effect of the pyramids on the outcome of your controlled throw. Obviously the pyramids were added to the craps tables to encourage random outcomes of the dice throw. One may even deduce that if pyramids were added to cause random results then the casino must have information that lead them to believe dice control was possible and a threat to their bottom line. Why else would they work to negate the controlled throw?

There are several new members to the dice list serve asking many questions, good questions, in their attempt to improve their Dice Control mastery.

I have also noticed many good responses from several of our highly experienced dice controller and PARR Masters (PARR, Patterson Advantage Rhythm Roll), providing insight and answers to the questions.

Denis Coren just asked the question “Do you attempt to hit the pyramids or not ?"

I think Dennis's question is very good one but there is not just one answer.

There are several different answers, each based on the individual’s style of play.

Remember with the PARR controlled throw you can hit the back wall without randomizing the result.

Here is the answer for MY style of play:

I do NOT attempt to hit the pyramids.

I DO intend to land just in front of the pyramids.

I DO work towards a Dead Cat Bounce (DCB, a soft landing with minimum or no bounce where the dice land just before hitting the “back wall”).

My dice will often lightly kiss the pyramids, and stay on axis with little or no energy expelled. I often hear “Sir the dice must hit the back wall”.

I play my game, not the casino’s game when I have the dice. I often say that when I have the dice, “I own the table”.

Do I catch Heat, yes, often!

Do I care, NO !

Do I want Heat, NO !

BUT, I can TAKE THE HEAT in stride most of the time.

I'm at the craps table for one reason only, take the casino’s money, with that I must be prepared to also take their heat.

I am not a casual craps player, I'm a serious craps player, after all there is money involved !

The casino is NOT my friend, nor do I expect them to be.

I do NOT set myself up for unrealistic expectations. I am very happy with small wins and obviously ecstatic with large wins. But, I do not expect large wins with every session.

I must be relaxed to play my game and enjoy the journey of taking their money.

For me, Relaxed does NOT mean Casual. Relaxed and casual are totally different things.

The pyramids have been designed intentionally to destroy a controlled Dice throw.

I intentionally work to avoid everything that puts me at a disadvantage.

As a result, I take the heat for not hitting the pyramids and I take their money. It is just that simple.

However, my style does not fit everyone, nor should it.

I know what works best for me and this comes from years of playing and paying attention to my game.

Once you have experienced some really good winning sessions with good Dice Control, you can then develop the positive affirmations you will need to develop your own personal style.

Knowing my game is a key element for me to enter the Zone (Professional’s Insight is currently working on a new video “The Zone”, look for it soon) where I am positive and relaxed.

I do not let a quick seven out bother me, they are going to happen to every player, no matter how skilled.

I take those quick seven outs in stride as part of the journey.

I know I will have a good roll, it is going to happen.

I must be patient and let it happen, I cannot make it happen.

The winning roll is going to occur, I must pay attention and seize the opportunities when they occur, and they do.

The winning roll is more likely occur when I'm playing my game, my way.

Your winning roll will more likely occur, when you play your game your way.

In the beginning, I mentioned Dice Control is a Journey, and it's an ongoing journey learning and improving along the way.

How do I deal with the pyramids? What pyramids?
