What Is Better A Craps Monster Long Roll Or A Better Than Average Roll?

Any craps shooter no matter how they throw the dice can have one of those really long rolls on any given day. But, learning dice control is the only way to improve your potential for that long roll on a more regular basis.   I know because I have earned many Sharpshooter Certificates at the Freemont Hotel Casino in Downtown Las Vegas for having long rolls.   I was able to earn these through years of practice using Dice Control techniques.   Yet, there are other things more important than Long Rolls!

Craps Average Rolls

We use a term to determine the length our average rolls. The term is known as "SRR" (Seven To Rolls Ratio).   The casinos know the SRR for the average craps shooter (the random roller) is 1:6, they will roll one seven (7) in every six (6) rolls.   There are 36 different possible outcomes on the two (2) dice.   There are six (6) ways to roll a seven, 36 divided by 6 = 6.   In other words, roll the dice randomly enough times, hundreds or thousands of times and you will have an SRR of 1:6   (one seven in every six rolls).

Only with Dice Control can a shooter improve the SRR above 1:6.   In Sharpshooter's book "Get The Edge At Craps" he proves that no matter how you bet, or how much odds you take, you cannot overcome the casino advantage over the long run with an average SRR of 1:6. Turning the edge or advantage from the house to the shooter is only possible through a two-step process.

1. Improve your SRR to above 1:6

2. Implement a sound betting strategy with disciplined money management that allows you to pull profits off the table within your average SRR.

The better your SRR the more aggressive your betting strategy can be.   If you can improve your SRR from 1:6 to 1:7 (from throwing a seven one in six throws to throwing a seven one in seven throws) you will be playing with a significant edge over the casino.   Combine this with sound betting and money management practices and you become a consistent craps winner.

Summary

It is clear that it is far better to improve your average rolls than it is to put too much energy in trying to make every roll a Long or Monster roll.   The name of the game is to pull profits, and have a NET profit over the long run.   This can be achieved by increasing your SRR and through sound betting techniques and money management.

It will take practice, but please know that hundreds have achieved success using the procedures and techniques provided in Professional's Insight Series Craps instruction.   Luck comes and goes, but knowledge is forever. Keep in mind that even the slightest edge (improvement in you SRR) provides you with a nice advantage over the average craps player and an advantage over the casino.
